Japanese Tutor Requirements

To teach Japanese on MySmartPros, we expect tutors to meet the following requirements:

• Educational Qualification: Minimum Bachelor's degree with Japanese as a major or minor subject (B.A., B.Sc., B.Com., B.Tech., B.Ed., M.A., M.Sc., M.Tech., MBA, PhD, or equivalent). For specialised Japanese coaching, higher qualifications and subject-specific certifications are preferred.
• Teaching Experience: At least 1 year of Japanese teaching, tutoring, or coaching experience preferred. Freshers with strong academic records (above 75% or 7.5 CGPA) in Japanese are welcome to apply for primary and middle school levels.
• Subject Expertise: Deep conceptual knowledge of Japanese with ability to explain complex topics in simple terms. For competitive exam coaching (IIT-JEE, NEET, UPSC), candidates who have cleared the exam themselves or coached students successfully are strongly preferred.
• Communication Skills: Fluent in English and/or Hindi. Japanese tutors who can teach in regional languages (Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Bengali, Marathi, Gujarati) get additional student enquiries.
• Technology: For online Japanese tutoring, you need a laptop or desktop with a webcam, stable internet connection (minimum 10 Mbps), and familiarity with Zoom, Google Meet, or Microsoft Teams. A digital pen tablet or whiteboard app is a plus for writing equations and diagrams.
• Background Verification: Valid government-issued photo ID (Aadhaar, PAN, Passport, Driving Licence, or Voter ID). All Japanese tutors undergo profile verification for student safety.

Japanese Tutor Responsibilities

• Assess each student's current Japanese knowledge level and design a customised study plan tailored to their syllabus (CBSE, ICSE, State Board, IB, IGCSE) and goals.
• Conduct regular one-on-one or small group Japanese tutoring sessions — online or at the student's home — as per the agreed schedule.
• Prepare Japanese lesson notes, practice worksheets, solved examples, assignments, and mock tests relevant to the student's curriculum and exam pattern.
• Track student progress in Japanese, provide regular feedback to parents, and adjust teaching methods to improve learning outcomes.
• Help students prepare for Japanese school exams, board exams (Class 10 & 12), and competitive entrance exams.
• Stay updated with the latest Japanese syllabus changes, exam patterns, and marking schemes for CBSE, ICSE, and state boards.
